Gobi’s Papa

Hi! I’m Gobi Raj and I would like you to meet my ‘Papa’! No ‘PAPA’ is not my father but it’s my Nissan Urvan. I gave him that name because I feel that this Urvan takes care of me and helps me ‘feed’ my family. I work as a tour operator and I have been eyeing the Nissan Urvan for ages (4 years to be exact). Finally in 2009 I made him mine.

| I use him for my job as a tour operator. My work needs me to deal with visitors and to transport them around the country. With that I need my ‘PAPA’ to be spick and span at all times projecting an image of professionalism. |

You may find it funny or some may put it as crazy, but I actually do speak to ‘PAPA’ all of the time as ‘PAPA’ is my partner and is a big part of me. I actually treat ‘PAPA’ as a person and he is part of the family. I do lots of things for ‘PAPA’ as I know he will return the favour.

| When I get up in the mornings, the first thing I do is to peep out of my window to see if ‘PAPA’ is still there and I say ‘Hi’ to him after which I get a bucket of fresh water and I splash it on his face to ‘wake’ it up with freshness to face the day. |
| Then I clean ‘PAPA’ from top to bottom right down to his wheels. And after my prayers I talk to ‘PAPA’ and ask him to take good care of me and help me bring in profits for the day. |
| When the day is over and ‘PAPA’ and I head for home, I seek his forgiveness and apologize to him if I had driven him to hard and too rough. |
| With all this ‘MAMA’ (my wife) gets a little bit jealous of ‘PAPA’ as most of my time is spent with him and I mostly talk about ‘PAPA’. She needn’t worry as at the end of the day, however Nissan crazy I am, ‘MAMA’, ‘PAPA’ and the family are close to my heart. |
